39:14. Blah. We had timing chips, but, no mat to cross at the start. So it was just "gun time". I started at the WAY BACK of 297 runners. I did not see the actual start line until I crossed it. I probably lost 30+seconds just getting TO the start. I sooooo wanted to see the chip time and have a tangible PR. Once I get
this I'll have my actual times if there's no real chip timing. I KNOW it's just a #, but, it's still disappointing. I ran a good race. That's what REALLY matters. I need to stop being a whiny baby.
On a positive note, the last 2 nights' runs have been my easiest yet! I ran 2miles yesterday on the treadmill with incline every other minute and had to keep upping the speed! It just felt fab! I could have kept running for another 2 miles no problem! Tonight the goal is 3miles. My long run will be Saturday night after work. I'm going for 4 easy miles. I HAVE to get up to 5 miles in 3 weeks.
Tomorrow Seth, Megan & I are going to go trout fishing
here. I can't wait! Seth just LOVES fishing! And I love trout. YUMMY!
Molly is sick right now with pneumonia (again) and an ear infection. She stayed home sick yesterday. She's had 2 sick days in the last week. Seth has a nasty nasty double ear infection, too. They're both on Cefprozil. I've been dosing them both up good with probiotics as well. Seth woke up this morning with SOOOOO much energy! After being asleep for pretty much 36 hours, he sure was perky when he woke up. Now he's fading quickly, though. If he'd actually EAT he'd have a little energy. I got Megan weighed yesterday and that little stinker is just 22lbs at 17 months! She LOST a pound since she turned 1. She just runs ALL DAY LONG. Has to keep up with Molly and Seth, you know! Here's a few pics of the last few months....
