Sorry it's been so long since I've posted! Here's what I've been working on!

My 2nd pair of socks!!! The first pair were just a little too small for Megan so I mailed them to my online friend Kelly. I hope she posts pictures so I can link to them here. I have to remind myself to take pictures BEFORE I SHIP things!!!

Here's the socks FOR ME!!!!




I used this page to do them. The pair I had made for Megan had regular turned heel and shaped toes. These socks for me have short-row toes and heels. I have to say the short-row toes and heels really make a fabulous fit!!! I have enough sock yarn for one more pair for me and then I'll be splurging on some Opal sock yarn and then some Trekking sock yarn.

Next up was Megan's Pinwheel Sweater. I went to one of my local yarn shops and asked the ladies to pick my yarn out for me. I needed to step out of my normal comfort zone of purples and pinks for her. I gave them complete control! They picked out the softest Misti Alpaca yarn. YUMMY!!! This is seriously the softest yummiest yarn I've knit with in a LONG LONG time! Here's two views of the completed sweater. I'll try to take pictures on Megan when she's awake.





These pictures really don't do the sweater justice. It is almost 1am and I'm taking these pictures under fluorescent light. In real life the sweater is just fabulous!!

I'm knitting the same sweater for Molly but out of Katia Mexico yarn. This is a wool/acrylic blend, but, single ply instead of multi-ply. I really like the cushy softness of this yarn. It's not a plastic-feeling acrylic/wool blend. I am just about 3/4 of the way done with this. Here's a little shot of what it looks like. The picture isn't the best. I have this on a 32" circular needle and I really need about a 60". But, here's the picture:



I hope to finish this in the next week or two.

I was able to take the sweater for Megan off the list since I'm now done with it. Haven't done a darn thing else on the list. Oh well...I now have SOCKS!!!
